Dragon Ball Super Movie: Freeza Gets a Slight Redesign

One of the more controversial moments from the Tournament of Power arc of Dragon Ball Super was the decision to add Freeza to the team. Initially advertising Majin Buu, it was revealed to be a bait-and-switch which lead to the return of Dragon Ball's galactic emperor. Even odder was the ending of the arc, which had Beerus and Whis bring Freeza back from the dead as a gift for his hard work.

Freeza was confirmed early on for the Dragon Ball Super movie but many assumed that it would be via flashback since the film will supposedly tackle some Saiyan lore. That isn't the case, as a recent leak from V-Jump magazine has revealed the character's design for the movie, which isn't too different but still looks great.

The classic villain has always had an excellent design, particularly his sleek final form, so seeing him drawn by a new artist is always a treat. It's easy to see why the villain is so iconic and here is hoping Freeza gets some cool moments in the movie.

Expecting anything different from Freeza's appearance would imply a brand new transformation for the character. We already saw his Golden Form from Resurrection F and it's doubtful that we will be seeing anything else unless Akira Toriyama wants to surprise fans.

Fans will be able to watch the Dragon Ball Super movie on December 14.
