When it comes to the best zombie shows, All of Us Are Dead is a title that tops the list. In just the first episode, we've come to love the show's characters. Before moving on to a second season, let's look back at who dies and who survives in All of Us Are Dead.
Here's a list of all the major deaths in the zombie Kdrama:
Kim Hyun-joo
Status: Presumed Dead
The first human to be infected by the Jonas virus is Kim Hyun-joo (played by Jung Yi-seo), who was accidentally bitten by an infected hamster. Before she starts to change, Lee Byeong-chan (played by Kim Byung-chul) ties her up and keeps the virus from progressing via a sedative.
But after a few days, Hyun-joo manages to escape and becomes the catalyst of the zombie virus. Her first victim is the school nurse before she is transferred to the hospital. Unfortunately, she also bites several people there, which allows the virus to spread throughout Hyosan.
Yoon I-sak
Status: Confirmed Dead
Unfortunately, the main character's best friend, Yoon I-sak (played by Kim Ju-a) got infected in just the first few moments of the outbreak. When the classmates barricade themselves inside a science lab, they discover that I-sak was bitten.
This breaks Nam On-jo's (played by Park Ji-hu) heart and the rest of her classmates. To protect everyone from the zombie, Lee Cheong-san (played by Yoon Chan-young) pushes her out the window.
I-sak is also among those seen to be killed in the bombing of the school.

Han Gyeong-su
Status: Confirmed Dead
Another devastating loss from the class came from Han Gyeong-su (played by Ham Sung-min). He was one of the brave students who fought off the zombies who broke into their classroom.
Seeing a scratch on Gyeong-su's arm, Lee Na-yeon (played by Lee Yoo-mi) accuses him of getting bitten. When he doesn't turn into one, Na-yeon wipes zombie blood on his injured hand using a handkerchief. Unfortunately, this causes him to get infected.
The rest of the class accuses her of murdering their classmate.
Lee Byeong-chan
Status: Unconfirmed
After discovering he took Hyun-joo hostage, Mr. Lee gets arrested and brought to a police station. He later tells the detective that he created the Jonas virus and convinces him to help retrieve his laptop from school. This is because the laptop contains details about the virus and how it can be stopped.
When they try to leave the police station, Byeong-chan sacrifices himself. While many perceive this as his fate, many can't help but think he could have turned into a hambie or a halfbie. After all, he has a desire to stop the virus.
Lee Na-yeon
Status: Confirmed Dead, thankfully
After her classmates confront her for killing Gyeong-su, she isolates herself and hides in the PTA storage closet. The closet is filled with snacks and drinks that she has all to herself.
Later, the class decides to flee to the roof. She tries to help them gain access to the provisions since she has a change of heart. Unfortunately, she meets Yoon Gwi-nam (played by Yoo In-soo), who has now become a hambie.
Gwi-nam feeds on her and turns her into a zombie.

Joon-yeong
Status: Confirmed Dead
When the students make their way to the gym, they unfortunately trap themselves in the process. To escape, they surround themselves with rolling cages used to store sports equipment.
Unfortunately, a zombie manages to bite Joon-yeong (played by Ahn Seung-kyoon). Realizing his fate, he decides to sacrifice himself so that the others can get to the exit.
Nam So-ju
Status: Confirmed Dead
The most heartbreaking death in All of Us Are Dead Season 1 has got to be Nam So-ju's (played by Jeon Bae-soo). After his desire to stop at nothing to save On-jo, he finally makes his way to their school.
The father-daughter reunites at the tennis courts. But while trying to protect his daughter, he gets bitten. He gives his daughter one last embrace before telling her to run with her friends.
As On-jo and the rest of the class make their way out of the school grounds, they come across trees with a ribbon on them. On-jo realizes that it was her father's last attempt to help her before he died.

Yoon Gwi-nam
Status: Presumed dead
Yoon Gwi-nam is a school bully who torments the rest of the students. When he gets attacked by zombies, many believe that he died. But later in the show, he awakens as a hambie.
After turning, he becomes obsessed with taking his revenge on Cheong-san. As a hambie, he can cheat death several times.
He finally manages to catch up with Cheong-san at an unfinished construction site. The two fight together and eventually fall into an elevator shaft before it is burned up.
It is unclear whether Gwi-nam is dead at the end of All of Us Are Dead Season 1. With his hambie powers, it's possible that he survived the fall and the bombing.
Lee Cheong-san
Status: Unknown
Like Gwi-nam, Cheong-san also fell down the elevator shaft. Before this, however, Gwi-nam manages to bite Cheong-san. This is why he decided to sacrifice himself so that his classmates could escape safely before the bombing.
We don't know whether Cheong-san is alive or not. It's possible that he turned into a hambie before falling into the elevator shaft with Gwi-nam.

Jang Woo-jin
Status: Confirmed dead
Jang Woo-jin (played by Son Sang-yeon) gets killed trying to protect his older sister, Jang Ha-ri (played by Ha Seung-ri). After getting out of the school grounds, the students come across a horde of zombies in Yangdong, a neighboring town.
After getting bitten, Woo-jin turns and tries to bite the survivors. Choi Nam-ra (played by Cho Yi-hyun), a hambie at this point, kills him before he can bite anyone else.
Choi Nam-ra
Status: Hambie
Choi Nam-ra becomes a zombie after Gwi-nam attacks her. Because of her self-control, she stops the virus from affecting her.
After helping her friends from Woo-jin, Nam-ra leaves the group since they are already with other survivors.
Months later, the surviving students see a fire on the rooftop of their school. They head over and find Nam-ra, who tells them there are more like her. She does not tell them much, except for this fact.
We'll have to wait for the second season to know if Cheong-san had the same fate as Nam-ra.
