Doctor Strange Director Scott Derrickson Returns to Twitter

Twitter has been a toxic environment for celebrities and those involved in the movie-making process. Just recently, The Witcher showrunner Lauren S. Hissrich has left after fans were upset over the fact that Ciri might be a person of color. It's easy to see why people would leave social media but what's more shocking is seeing someone come back.

Enter Doctor Strange director Scott Derrickson.

Derrickson announced his return to the social media platform via a humorous video of his back whilst putting "back" on the status. It will be interesting to see how he handles social media from here on out. Why he returned is just odd in general but some fans might be happy to interact with him again.

Hopefully, they don't drive him away like other fans have. Then again, he isn't a woman so he might be safe from toxic fans for the most part.

The director seems to be returning to a future Doctor Strange sequel, though no release date for the film has been revealed. He has shown his affection for the character numerous times so his return is likely. Fans are also theorizing that Nightmare will be the main villain, though Baron Mordo seems to be the more obvious option given the first film's ending.

Stephen Strange will likely return in Avengers 4, which comes out on May 3, 2019.
