Captain America fans have been buzzing about Chris Evans' potential return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Reports came in last week that Evans who previously stated that he's moving on from the MCU after a successful tenure as the leader of the Avengers is close to securing a brand new deal with Marvel Studios.

We still have no clue whether his character will return as Old Man Steve or the usual super soldier Cap we know. It's also still unclear at this point which project he'll end up becoming a part of.

Recent rumors suggested that Marvel Studios is secretly working on a Nomad project which Kevin Feige chose not to announce during Disney's 2020 Investor Day. I don't know about you but don't you think that it's pretty convenient that just a month after the said rumors circulated, Evans' MCU return was reported?

But what if instead of returning as the Captain America we all know and love, Chris Evans comes back to the franchise as a villain? Digital artist @ultraraw is toying with the idea of Evans turning up on Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness as Captain Hydra, the evil counterpart of the patriotic super-soldier. He even unveiled his stunning artwork depicting Evans as a baddie. Check it out here:

It's a little too farfetched to think about, sure, but considering Doctor Strange 2 will dive into the Multiverse, anything is a possibility. Personally, I'd love to see Evans back as present-day Cap who didn't travel back in time to "fix" his life. He could totally serve as Falcon's mentor now that he's set to take on the star-spangled mantle. Everything's still a blur right now so let's just wait and see.

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier hits Disney+ this March.
