Disney+ Set To Launch With More Than 300 Films And 7500 Episodes Of Television

It looks like Disney's preparing a whole lot of content for its upcoming streaming platform, Disney+.

Disney just recently had an earnings call for its third quarter (via Screen Rant), and during the gathering, the Mickey Mouse House announced that it was going to launch Disney+ with more than 300 movies and more than 7,500 episodes of Disney-owned content. Not only that, but the company also promises to add over 400 films by the end of 2020.

The Mickey Mouse House's streaming site gained major interest when Disney announced that it was going to feature new original series from both the Star Wars and Marvel franchises.

Star Wars fans are more than interested to see Jon Favreau's Star Wars: The Mandalorian, as well as the upcoming Rogue One: A Star Wars Story prequel series focusing on Captain Cassian Andor. Meanwhile, everyone's also hyped for what Marvel has to prepare for Disney's streaming site. The studio has a slew of mini-series featuring different Marvel heroes that never got to have their own standalone movies before and that include Loki (Tom Hiddleston), Scarlett Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), Vision (Paul Bettany), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), Falcon (Anthony Mackie) and the Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan).

Aside from this original content, Disney plans on releasing all of its old films and tv series, as well as previously released films and content from Pixar and from National Geographic.

Given everything that it has to offer, it seems like a $6.99 subscription to Disney+ seems like a pretty good idea for fans.

Disney+ is launching on November 12, 2019.
