Did Star Wars Tease at Luke Skywalker Standalone Series?

It's no secret that the final episode of The Mandalorian Season 2 had a lot of major surprises. For instance, fans were not expecting (although they were hoping) to see Bo-Katan Kryze and Koska Reeves in action again. However, the biggest surprise in Chapter 16: The Rescue was undoubtedly the return of Luke Skywalker as he swooped in to save the day. But did this awesome cameo actually confirm that we'll be seeing more of Luke in a possible spin-off series?

In The Mandalorian Season 2 Episode 8, Mando and his companions already had the upper hand as they captured Moff Gideon. However, their victory was almost prevented by the Dark Troopers returning although Mando had previously ejected them from the cruiser. Luckily, a stranger arrived in an X-Wing and immediately began taking down the Troopers.

It was then revealed that the mysterious stranger is actually Luke, who has come to claim Baby Yoda after he heard the Child's Force call. Unfortunately, this meant that it was time for a tearful goodbye for Grogu and Mando. On the other hand, fans also saw this as a possible spin-off show that would reveal Baby Yoda's training.

So is Luke getting his own spin-off series that will also feature Baby Yoda? For now, it hasn't been announced by Disney and Lucasfilm. After all, there's still the Obi-Wan Kenobi series as well as other amazing Star Wars shows to look forward to and the studios might not want to overwhelm viewers with too much content. Nevertheless, there is a possibility this could be explored in the future.
