What Happened to Magnus in Apple TV's Constellation? Is He Dead?
As Jo (played by Noomi Rapace) is still recovering from her traumatic mission in outer space, her husband Magnus (James D'Arcy), starts questioning her affair with Frederick in Constellation episode 4 titled The Left Hand of God.
Despite wanting to recover their family, Jo is left to question her reality and her relationships in her home.
In this case, whenever Jo encourages her daughter Alice about her visions of another timeline or reality, Magnus keeps their daughter in a closet to prevent her from seeing the disturbing events unfold.
What did Alice see in her "vision", exactly? Well, according to what she described, Jo is dead in a different reality.
To Jo, her daughter's participation is helping her case, that she is not just seeing things. To Magnus, however, he cannot tolerate the fear he sees in Alice's eyes whenever they talk about the visions.
In light of the shocking change he sees in her wife, Magnus also reveals he has been seeing someone behind Jo's back, while she had been away from home.
This causes Jo to confront the distorted reality even more, which begs the question, did she really kill Magnus?

Did Jo Kill Magnus in Constellation Episode 4?
By the end of Constellation episode 4, Jo and Magnus argue about her supposed affair with Frederick.
This is due to Frederick himself claiming that he and Jo have been having an affair. While Jo seemingly still doesn't have memories of this affair, Jo and Magnus revert to more physical harm towards each other.
As seen in the episode, Jo pushes Magnus. He hits his head on her piano and falls to the ground with a thud.
Though the episode doesn't explicitly reveal whether or not Magnus is dead, it is heavily implied, given that he is no longer standing beside Jo and Alice in the future timeline of the show.
It is also worth mentioning that the opening of episode 4 also shows that in some timelines, Jo is the dead spouse instead of Magnus, which makes sense given that these are the "distorted realities" yet to be proven true.
