Diana Wears Armor in New Stills for Wonder Woman 1984

Wonder Woman 1984 was originally supposed to come out in June, but thanks to COVID-19, we have to wait a few more months before we can get one of DC's most popular heroes back onscreen. The promotion train continues to chug though, and we have new stills of Diana and Steve Trevor from the movie.

These come from Empire:

I was fine with the decision to kill Steve at the end of the first film, and I'm honestly irked that they brought Chris Pine back for the sequel. When it came to Trevor's return, Gadot told Empire, "Chris was an integral part of the movie, and of its success… And because he and I and Patty really enjoyed working together, we all wanted to have him back. And Patty and [co-writer] Geoff Johns found the best way that serves the narrative to bring Steve back."

Fans are still wondering what exactly brought Trevor back, and some think that it will have something to do with Greek god Hades. While some initially thought that Pedro Pascal was Hades in disguise, the reveal that he was Maxwell Lord kind of debunks that rumor. Then again, I think it's possible that the DCEU's version of Lord could still be a god in disguise, trying to influence events on Earth.

Wonder Woman squares off against the Cheetah, a villainess who possesses superhuman strength and agility.

For now, Wonder Woman 1984 is set to come out on August 14.
