Wonder Woman was a box office success and one of the film's most memorable characters are the Amazons of Themyscira. Fans are hoping to see more from them but there are no official plans for a spinoff yet.

Connie Nielsen, who played the role of Queen Hippolyta, doesn't have much to say when asked for the possibility of an Amazonian spinoff film. However, it looks like she's up for it, telling ComingSoon.net that she and the other cast "would love to, we would love to do that."

Although tight-lipped about the subject, Nielsen did talk about the sequel. "It was a little bit like a homecoming," she said. "We got to see everybody, hang out. It was very cute. All the girls got to get together and it was very cool."

While there is a chance that Patty Jenkins will be making a Wonder Woman spinoff, she revealed in a previous interview that they'd take a breather after Wonder Woman 1984. Both Jenkins and Gal Gadot have "other things to do" and that the director wouldn't want to make decisions in advance. So if there would be an Amazonian spinoff, it'll take quite a while before it'll be in the works.

Nielsen can next be seen in Sea Fever, to arrive on streaming platforms on April 10. Wonder Woman 1984 was originally set for release on June 5, but was moved to August 14 due to the coronavirus outbreak.
