A lot of fans have been excited for the release of Deadpool 3 not only because it will team up Ryan Reynolds' titular mercenary and Hugh Jackman's Wolverine, but it is expected to bring back more actors from the Fox Marvel movies.
There are reports that claimed that their return in the upcoming film is akin to Spider-Man: No Way Home although this one will be on a bigger scale due to the story's multiverse aspect and the many characters that are rumored to appear.
So far, only Jennifer Garner's Elektra is confirmed to be one of the past Fox Marvel characters that are set to cameo in the film and it is likely that we will hear more names once production is back on track when the current Hollywood strikes end.
Now, another name has been added to the rumor mill and it's someone from one of the X-Men films that was not well-received.
Liev Schreiber is Reportedly Back as Sabretooth in Deadpool 3
According to insider Daniel Richtman (via Heroic Hollywood), X-Men Origins: Wolverine star Liev Schreiber is set to return as Victor Creed/Sabretooth in Deadpool 3. He will cross paths again with Jackman's Wolverine during the film.
Marvel Studios has not commented on the rumor yet. If it ends up being true, it will mark Schreiber's return to the role since the aforementioned film as he was notably absent in Logan.
Schreiber's Victor Creed/Sabretooth is portrayed in X-Men Origins: Wolverine as Logan's mutant half-brother. He was initially part of the villains' side before he decided to team up with Logan during the climactic fight against William Stryker.
Given Logan's history with the character and the fact that Reynolds made his debut as Wade Wilson in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, it does make sense that they'll bring back Schreiber's character for a cameo and perhaps they would even poke fun at the film since it was maligned when it released.
Since he was absent in Logan, this could satisfy the fans who have been wanting to see Schreiber reprise the role and it is exciting to see how he will cross paths again with Jackman's character.
Aside from Schreiber, other X-Men actors such as Ian McKellen and Halle Berry are also rumored to appear in the upcoming film. There are also reports that Channing Tatum will finally be able to play Gambit years after his solo movie project was canned.

Given the secrecy behind all these surprise cameos, it is likely that we will hear confirmation about this once the marketing campaign commences or once we watch the film in its entirety.
Deadpool 3 is slated for release in theaters on May 3, 2024.
