The ongoing actors' strike has resulted in Deadpool 3 temporarily shutting down its production since the cast members are currently not allowed to do any work and are waiting for a resolution between the guild and the studios.

However, now that the strike has been going on for almost three months, fans are starting to wonder whether they will be able to make it on its early summer release next year since production was still halfway by the time they shut down last July.

Given the VFX work and more weeks of shooting that they have to do by the time they resume production after the actors' strike hopefully ends soon, it surely puts doubt on the possibility that the film will be able to make it on time in its arrival in theaters on its current date.

Now, a new report has provided a brief update regarding the MCU threequel and it looks like we can still look forward to its planned release next summer.

According to TheWrap, Disney is still keeping the May 3, 2024 release date for Deadpool 3, indicating that a delay is not likely to happen at all despite the months-long shutdown.

The report explained that studios will prioritize resuming productions that were shut down midway once the actors' strike ends including Deadpool 3 and Disney still wants to rely on the summer movie season next year.

However, the main challenge of resuming productions is scheduling with the actors since some of them might be committed to filming other projects or promoting upcoming releases.

Hopefully, that issue won't happen with Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, and the other cast members and they will remain committed to finishing the film despite the crazy scheduling that they'll encounter once everything is back and running.

In the end, it's still all up to whether the actors' guild and studios, who are still in negotiations at the moment, will finally be able to agree on a fair deal soon so that the aforementioned situation will become a reality and films like Deadpool 3 will be able to go back to set.

For now, we need to be patient since this is still a developing situation and we will be getting more clarity about very, very soon.
