Recently, we learned that Max is developing a TV series reboot of Harry Potter that will adapt all novels into multi-season storytelling and bring a fresh take to the story that is originated by J.K. Rowling, who is involved in the project.

Some fans have been wondering whether the original cast members from the film series will show up in the TV adaptation for a potential cameo or a different role from what they've played before.

Now, we have a word from one of the core cast members and it looks like we won't be expecting an appearance from the person who brought Harry Potter to life.

In an interview with Deadline, Daniel Radcliffe was asked whether he is interested to make a cameo appearance in Max's Harry Potter TV series.

Unfortunately, the actor shot down the possibility as he believed that it would be a distracting and weird move for him to appear in the reboot.

"I don’t think so, no. Certainly from everything that I’ve read about the series, they’re starting fresh and would probably be weird to have me pop in…," he said.

It is not surprising to hear that Radcliffe has no interest to show up in the series since it really is going to be distracting for the new actors if he makes a splashy appearance and potentially takes the spotlight.

There is also the fact that Rowling's involvement in the project is also stopping him from being interested in getting in the series since he has criticized the author in the past over her views on the transgender community.

In addition, Radcliffe may also not want to tie himself to the role again and he is trying to stray away from his image as Harry Potter by doing any other roles so it is really understandable that he doesn't want to tap his shoes on the reboot.

For now, let's just wait and see how the development of the project will go once the current Writers Guild of America (WGA) strike ends and it might take a while before it will move forward to production.
