CW's Superman Does What the DCEU's Didn't, Wears Black Suit for Elseworlds Crossover

There is a lot of excitement for the upcoming Elseworlds crossover that will take place in CW's Arrowverse shows since it will introduce us to Ruby Rose's Batwoman for the very first time. A lot of fans also enjoy them because each yearly crossover has been better than the last, which is why there is so much hype for Elseworlds.

It seems like CW and DC are upping the ante, as Arrow star Stephen Amell went to Twitter and revealed something fans didn't expect to see; Superman in his 90's black suit. Okay, saying that it's completely faithful to the 90's comic is a bit untrue but this is something fans have wanted to see for the longest time, especially in the DCEU.

Justice League had the revival of Superman after he had died during the events of Batman V Superman so fans thought it would be fitting to see him in the black costume. Unfortunately, despite a tease of said costume in the Blu-Ray, we never saw Superman suit up in the black suit, but as we will in the CW.

Why Superman will choose to wear this is going to be interesting since it might mean that we will see Doomsday appear in either Supergirl or the Elseworlds crossover and maybe even kill him. Or, he might be killed during a season of Supergirl and get revived during Elseworlds. Then again, with Lois Lane debuting in the crossover, it might be a dumb move to kill him there and then.

Elseworlds will premiere this December and will run through Arrow, The Flash, and Supergirl.
