First Look at Ruby Rose in Her Comic-Accurate Batwoman Costume, Check Out

The character of Batwoman is set to make her debut in the Arrow-verse this December and Ruby Rose (Orange is the New Black) has been cast in the role. Stephen Amell teased a reveal of the costume recently and now we have a good look at Rose in full Batwoman gear:

A lot of people are actually happy with this choice of costume seeing as they opted for a more comic-accurate look. When it comes to The CW's heroes, some people have criticized the costumes for being too generic, what with every hero seemingly getting a motorcycle jacket, pants, and a small mask.

When it was first announced that Rose was taking on the role, there was a lot of backlash on social media with some claiming that Rose wasn't right since she wasn't a lesbian (which she was); some others have even deemed her "too gay" for the role—whatever that means.

This all leads to Rose deleting her Twitter account to get away from all the haters. Hopefully, she brings it back after all this backlash of her casting dies down.

Seeing that Kate Kane was an out lesbian superhero, it was important that The CW also cast the role right. This follows the inclusion of a trans hero in Supergirl played by trans actress Nicole Maines.

Personally, I don't know what to expect from The CW's Batwoman, but I'm sure a lot of people will be happy to see her helming her own show along with the likes of Green Arrow, The Flash, and Supergirl.

No release date has been announced for Batwoman, but the character is expected to make her debut in the Arrow-verse crossover event on Dec. 9.
