With Cruella released a few months ago in theaters and for those who availed of the Disney Plus Premier Access, the film of the origin story of the stylish villain of the 101 Dalmatians is coming to the streaming platform for free in a few days and it dropped a new trailer when the release date would be in a lavish video titled Queen of Mean.
Cruella has been one of the most awaited films last Spring under the slate of Disney as it follows the story of Estella is a young grifter who perseveres and determines to be a staple name in the fashion industry in the middle of the punk rock revolution, she makes herself known by walking through a social event and making sure she would be noticed with the amazing couture she was wearing that fashion legend Baroness von Hellman could not ignore.
The film has been critically acclaimed especially for the styling of the dresses to be worn by the characters thanks to two-time Oscar-winning costume designer Jenny Beavan. Cruella focused on the formative years of the villain before she murdered dogs for the sake of fashion and with such a titular character, fashion has been one of the main focus of the movie.
Following the lawsuit that Scarlett Johansson filed against Disney, reports surfaced that Emma Stone also considered bringing the release of the Cruella film through the streaming platform to court but it seems that she did not pursue as she signed to take on the sequel ofCruella claiming that there are no hard feelings between her and the company.

Cruella already grossed $85.9 million in the United States and Canada, and it also bagged $140.3 million in other countries having a total of $226.3 million all in all for its global box office.
Cruella will be released for all subscribers of Disney Plus this Friday, August 27, 2021.
