Controversial Smash Player Now Banned From Several Events

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is coming out in December and though everyone will be able to enjoy it, one person won't be able to play the game in competitions anymore. Controversial Smash competitor Vikram "Nightmare" Singh won't be able to participate in a number of gaming competitions due to a new code of conduct that has organizers investigate claims of misconduct.

According to Kotaku, a number of Super Smash Bros. players known as the Harassment Task Force have reached out to organizers in regards to a proper code of conduct. Since then, a number of organizers have agreed to their terms and have been stricter about letting some players in. Because of this, Singh won't be able to join some of these competitions for the time being.

For those unaware, Singh has been accused of grooming and sexually assaulting a minor. Singh has denied the allegations and even released a letter about these accusations on his Twitter before it was set to private. The case still seems to be ongoing so unless he is ruled as innocent, it doesn't seem like we will be seeing Singh in these tournaments anytime soon.

Singh's friend William Truong tried to defend his friend but it didn't work out. He claimed that Singh and the minor had consensual sex, which is still a crime since he is underage. Debates can be made about how the mind develops, but the law still states it's wrong so it's easy to see why these accusations are so serious.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate comes out this December.
