We're pretty sure a lot of you all know by now what lengths Marvel actors are willing to go to just to get themselves in superhero shape. Over the years, we've seen several stars transform their bodies drastically but everything isn't just a walk in the park.

Take for instance Chris Pratt, who shocked fans all around the globe for his chiseled physique in the first Guardians of the Galaxy film. Prior to his MCU casting, the Parks and Recreation star was known for his chubby frame but since joining the billion-dollar franchise, he never looked back.

However, Pratt claims that his road to becoming a Marvel superhero was quite hellish, to say the least.

According to Vanity Fair, Pratt went through rigorous training and a lifestyle change just to get in shape. Marvel Studios reportedly introduced the Star-Lord actor to a nutritionist who increased his caloric intake to 4,000 a day.

Additionally, Pratt was required to drink one glass of water for each pound he weighed, something he wasn't entirely thrilled about. He said: "I was peeing all day long, every day. That part was a nightmare."

Meanwhile, it remains to be seen if Pratt will ever return to the MCU now that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 wrapped up Peter Quill's cosmic journey. Rumor has it that he'll make the jump to the DC Universe, an idea that isn't exactly too farfetched to believe, especially considering his good friend and frequent collaborator James Gunn is one of the people running things.

All three Guardians of the Galaxy films are available to stream on Disney+.
