Chris Evans Spoiled Avengers: Endgame Before it Came Out and No One Noticed

Now that Avengers: Endgame is out and showing in multiple theaters, fans have been discussing the film, along with its many plot points, fan service moments, and action sequences. Some fans have also decided to check out older Marvel films to see how they are referenced in Endgame, some of which are pretty tear-inducing (watch Iron Man 3 again guys).

However, some footage from a fan event in China revealed that Chris Evans sort of spoiled the end of Avengers: Endgame before it came out. Some fans are freaking out about this since the actors and directors were constantly told not to spoil things for the fans but, to be fair, Evans is asking a question that revolves around his Captain America character.

"If I had the time stone, I think Steve Rogers would be interested in pursuing a relationship with Peggy Carter. Honestly, the Time Stone, if he can go anywhere, he's a man out of time, he's had to reconcile the fact that he's not from this place and Peggy Carter really represents a love."

Considering how that is almost exactly what happens at the end of Avengers: Endgame, this cannot be a coincidence. Granted, some fans will argue that most of the actors were in the dark when it comes to how this film would conclude but a counter-argument comes from a statement from Evans himself, who said that he was able to get a complete script, unlike the other actors.

Fans are still divided over the ending, with some thinking it's the perfect way to bookend his journey while others think it's counterproductive to his character development. It's a debate that will go on for months, maybe even years, but all we can do is talk about how great the movie is.

Avengers: Endgame is now showing in theaters.
