Check Out This Cool Urban Hawkeye Concept Art That Feels A Lot Like A Ronin Design

It looks like Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) would have had a very different look if Marvel had decided to use the concept design done by artist Charlie Wen.

Taking to Instagram today, the Marvel artist Charlie Wen decided to share to the public the early concept design for everyone's favorite sharpshooter in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Clint Barton. Calling his version of the character as "Urban Hawkeye," Chen explains that the outfit he designed was supposed to come off very differently from his superhero version in the movies.

"This would be a costume collaged together from what he already had at home," the designer explained in a caption on his post.

Unlike his clear-cut costume used in various Marvel films, the design by Chen seems a bit more casual – like Hawkeye had slapped on together anything that he could find. With a grey beanie and camo pants, Hawkeye has an ensemble he clearly seems to have put by himself.

It is a pretty interesting design though, giving Clint Barton a renegade, off-the-grid kind of aura. We could imagine Clint wearing the same thing when he assumes the role of Ronin in Avengers 4 – after all, the hero will have to work with whatever he's gout when decides to come out of the benches after sitting out Avengers: Infinity War.

For those who aren't familiar with the character, Ronin is the second persona Barton takes on after Marvel Comics' Civil War series. Though Marvel has yet to confirm Ronin in Avengers 4, there long have since been rumors that Clint will take on a new persona in the sequel to Infinity War.

Avengers 4 hits cinemas May 3, 2019.
