Check Out Padme Amidala's Star Wars Black Series Figure

Hasbro has found a hit with their 6-inch Black Series line for Star Wars, and we have more figures incoming. Just in, we have another woman figure up for release and it's that of Attack of the Clones Padme Amidala.

Granted that the figures we've been getting have been for the new films and the original trilogy, Hasbro has made it clear that they haven't forgotten about the prequels as well. Though we don't have much Episode II figures, this is probably the outfit we see Padme most in action, and I won't be surprised if we get a Padawan Anakin released down the line.

For some, this Black Series Padme is a way to make-up for missing the S.H. Figuarts version of Padme. Though that figure is import quality, the Black Series has become serious competition after the use of the photo-real face-printing tech on the figures. No matter how great a sculpt may seem, it's just hard to match with an actual scanned face of the actors.

Besides Padme, we'll also be getting some more prequel figures in the form of battle droids. Though these seem to be the regular grunt type, I'm imagining that Hasbro already has a plan to release several different variations down the line—such was the beauty of the stormtrooper and clone trooper figures; you can keep the same figure and change the color scheme; people will still pay for it.
