Charlie’s Angels: Patrick Stewart and Elizabeth Banks will BOTH Play Bosley

It's been more than a decade since the release of Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle, and the franchise is preparing for a reboot with Elizabeth Banks at the helm. We already know who the new angels are going to be, but news has it that the reboot will actually contain multiple Bosleys.

As per The Hollywood Reporter, both Banks and Star Trek TNG's Patrick Stewart are set to play the Angels' direct connection to the mysterious Charlie. It's said that the reboot will actually have the Townsend Agency as a security and intelligence service around the world, and there will actually multiple teams of angels; and with multiple angels comes multiple Bosleys.

In the original show, Bosley was considered the comic relief and he was played by David Doyle. Bill Murray took over the role for the first reboot back in 2000, but by the time Full Throttle aired, Bosley was played by Bernie Mac.

With Stewart set to come back as Jean-Luc Picard in an upcoming Star Trek show, I have a feeling that his appearance in this Angels reboot is going to be more of a cameo. I'm not really that concerned since Banks herself is a terrific comedian, and I think it would be a fun twist to see what Bosley would act like as a woman.

Charlie's Angels is directed by Elizabeth Banks and will have Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott, and Ella Balinska (replacing Lupita Nyong'o) as the lead Angels.

The film is aiming for a release on Sept. 27, 2019.
