The New Charlie's Angels have been Cast

The Charlie's Angels franchise basically died after the release of Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle, but Elizabeth Banks is set to direct a reboot of the show, and she has found her three leading ladies.

As per Fuse, Naomi Scott (Power Rangers), Lupita Nyong'o (Black Panther), and Kristen Stewart (Twilight) have been cast in the Charlie's Angels reboot set to come out in 2019. So far, no further details have been dropped about the film, but I hope we get an official announcement come SDCC 2018.

Charlie's Angels was a TV show back in the 70s which saw a reboot in 2000. Like I said, the franchise was discontinued after Full Throttle, but there was also a plan to revive the series back in 2011—long story short, it didn't get past the first season.

Though McG's Charlie's Angels films have not fare so well now in the ‘woke' social climate, I'm wondering how Banks plans to bring these girls back to the big screen. It's not enough that the girls should be funny; they have to be very proficient with action scenes as well. Say what you want about 2000's Charlie's Angels, I thought they were a ton of fun; between all the mind-blowing action, you got some great chemistry with the lead girls. Add to that some laughs from Bill Murray.

Catch the new Charlie's Angels in theaters June 7, 2019.
