Chainsaw Man Overview and Chapter 101 Recap
In Chapter 101 of Chainsaw Man, Asa Mitaka returns the shoes that her classmate Yuko gave her.
The two resolve to go patrol for Devils together. As they bond, they reveal more of their backstories, explaining that they both have parents who were killed by demons.
As such, Yuko genuinely wants revenge, though Mitaka, who's now sharing her body with the War Devil, is in a more complicated situation.
To make matter worse, the War Devil - who asks to be called Yoru - desires to kill Yuko and make her into a weapon.
Mitaka is, of course, against this idea, but Yoru seems to be biding her time, as she declares that Yuko will be an even more effective weapon as she and Mitaka bond.
But there's a tentative bond between Mitaka and Yoru too - they're not exactly friends and there's plenty of resentment between them but they aren't exactly enemies either.
