Park Eun-Bin plays Seo Mok-Ha in Castaway Diva. As a teenager, she only has her eyes set on becoming an idol.
As she travels to Seoul for an audition, Mok-Ha gets into an accident and gets stranded on a deserted island. She is declared missing and becomes forgotten by the public soon.
For 15 years, Mok-Ha struggled with her survival and loneliness. She adapts to surviving on the island yet never loses hope that she will be found someday. When that day comes, Mok-Ha wishes she could pursue her dream of becoming a diva.
How Was Seo Mok-Ha Saved?
As explained in an official clip, Mok-Ha gets found by accident. Kang Woo-Hak (played by Cha Hak-Yeon) was flying his drone on the uninhabited Pilji Island while accompanying Kang Bo-Geol (played by Chae Jong-Hyeop)'s volunteer group in cleaning up the trash from the beach.
Shortly after that, the drone captures footage of Mok-Ha and she gets curious about this mysterious flying device. She chases it down the beach until it crashes. Woo-Hak runs to the site and finds Mok-Ha, who is surprised to see him.
Once Mok-Ha is rescued, she is slowly eased up to modern civilization where she has to adjust to the new world ahead of her.
To help her out, she ends up living in an empty apartment on the third floor of Woo-Hak's home.
Yoon Ran-Joo (played by Kim Hyo-Jin), a singer that Mok-Ha has long looked up to, later joins her in the apartment. Unfortunately, Ran-Joo has been forgotten by her fans and has hit rock bottom.
Still, Mok-Ha continues to believe in her idol and helps her get the closure she deserves.
Does Castaway Diva Have a Happy Ending?
Castaway Diva will likely have a happy ending for all the major characters involved in the show. Mok-Ha will be able to find the success that she has long dreamed of. Meanwhile, she has helped Ran-Joo accept her life and be happy no matter what.
These things are already enough to believe that Castaway Diva has a happy ending. The only question left is whether Mok-Ha will have a romantic relationship with anyone from the show. That's something we'll have to keep an eye out for.
