Castaway Diva promises to be an interesting show to look out for when it comes out on tvN and Netflix. While there's very little we know about the series, we want to know if there is romance in Castaway Diva. Here's what we know about the show so far.
What Is Castaway Diva About?
The official synopsis of Castaway Diva reads:
"A drama depicting the diva challenge of Seo Mok-Ha, an aspiring singer who was rescued from a deserted island after 15 years."
Park Eun-Bin stars in the show as Seo Mok-Ha, a young girl who has long aspired to be a singer.
While on her way to Seoul for an audition to make her dream come true, she encounters an accident. This leads her to be stuck on a deserted island for 15 years.
And when she finally gets saved, she has a chance to follow her dreams. But she has to learn how to adapt to modern society.
The series is directed by Oh Choong-Hwan with a script written by Park Hye-Ryun. This is the third time the duo is working together after While You Were Sleeping and Start-Up.
Is There Romance in Castaway Diva?
As a romantic comedy, we can expect romance from Castaway Diva. The trailers reveal that she will be partnered with Chae Jong-Hyeop as Kang Bo-Gul, an entertainment department producer who is said to accidentally save Mok-Ha.
While there are not enough trailers and press releases to give details about the show, we can assume that Mok-Ha's positive and happy disposition will warm the CEO's heart.
Bo-Gul could help her get her big break in the industry, which is something that has given Mok-Ha the drive she needs to survive the island on her own.
We also see Mok-Ha being able to take advantage of her situation by honing the capacity and strength of her lungs by swimming in the sea.
This shows that despite her situation, she is not giving up on life and her dreams of being a singer.

Who Is Park Eun-Bin’s Partner in Castaway Diva?
Fans will be happy to know that Eun-Bin is getting reunited with Jong-Hyeop after working together in Hot Stove League.
Eun-Bin starred in that show as Lee Se-Young, a passionate operation manager of the baseball team, Dreams. Meanwhile, Jong-Hyeop starred in the show as a rising pitcher called Yoo Min-ho.
The other cast members of Hot Stove League were Namkoong Min, Oh Jung-Se, and The Uncanny Counter's Jo Byeong-Kyu.
He became famous for his role in Webtoon Hero - Tundra Show Season 2, Sisyphus: The Myth, and Nevertheless.
