Captain Marvel Star Jude Law Discusses the Intense Secrecy Surrounding His Role

If there's anything we've learned from Disney and Marvel over the years, it's that they do not want their movies spoiled before they come out. The shooting process from some of their films has been fascinating, as they try to make sure that the public doesn't see who the actors are playing as or what they are doing. Captain Marvel is no exception, as Jude Law has gone on length to discuss just how secretive Marvel Studios is going to be.

During The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Law was asked if he would be the original Captain Marvel (the Marvel version anyway) Mar-Vell, which he didn't answer. Law said it was a nice try but pointed out how secretive Marvel is making him, which isn't surprising. It's still not yet known if he is going to be Mar-Vell but there's no doubt that Law is going to be an important character.

"I think it might be this British-American difference. With Fantastic Beasts, they're like 'We assume you're not going to give away any of these secrets. And if you do, we're going to tell you not to again and we may quietly kill you.' In Marvel, it's like, 'DON'T YOU F****** EVER TELL ANYBODY ABOUT THIS!'"

Honestly, hearing all about this from Marvel and Disney isn't surprising anymore given some of the stories shared by Elizabeth Olsen and Rian Johnson. Olsen claimed that they were all in a van when they found out that Thanos would turn them to dust, while Johnson claimed that he would work on a laptop with no Wi-Fi and intense security so that The Last Jedi would remain a secret.

Captain Marvel is slated for a March 8, 2019, release.
