Captain America’s Death Imagined In Avengers: Endgame Fan Art

Marvel fans have long since been expecting the death of one or two major (or more) Marvel characters in Avengers: Endgame, and many assume that this would include Captain America. After all, Chris Evans' contract with Marvel is coming to an end, and what better way to conclude the culminating film of the third phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe than with the sacrificial death of the First Avenger?

Now, as fans wait for Endgame to make its way to cinemas later this year, Boss Logic envisions the tragic death of Steve Rogers, sharing an art piece that shows Cap slain n the battle against Thanos (Josh Brolin).

It's a heartbreaking piece, one that reminds fans that Endgame won't be an easy film.

The piece seems like a response to Joe and Anthony Russo's little post about Captain America this week. The filmmakers shared an emotional tribute videou to Captain America on their shared account on Twitter, teasing the inevitable in Endgame.

After completing his Endgame scenes back in October last year, Evans also fuelled speculation regarding his exit from the MCU after posting a tender little tweet that many interpreted as a goodbye, thanking everyone for the memories that were made.

"It was an emotional day to say the least," Evans wrote in his post last year,"Playing this role over the last 8 years has been an honor. To everyone in front of the camera, behind the camera, and in the audience, thank you for the memories! Eternally grateful."

Could Marvel really be killing off Captain America in Endgame? Let's wait and see.

Avengers: Endgame premieres April 26, 2019.
