Captain America Hesitates to Lift Mjolnir in Epic Avengers: Endgame Concept Art

Ask anyone about their favorite moment from Avengers: Endgame and most fans will tell you that it's that scene where Captain America uses Mjolnir, revealing himself to be worthy. This had a lot of people jumping for joy when it happened and the fact that Cap was such a pro when using it just added to the coolness of it.

Well, concept artist Ryan Meindering recently revealed some concept art of Captain America and Mjolnir, though this time, Steve is actually contemplating if he should use it. Apparently, this was also given away as a free poster for those that attended D23, so that's a neat surprise for those that made the trip. It's also an impressive piece of art and one that anyone worthy of Mjolnir should want hanging in their room.

Seeing Cap hesitant in this image shows some humility from the character, though it's easy to see why this wasn't shown in the final product. There's a mad titan trying to destroy all of the universe, so there wasn't really any time for Cap to show how gosh-darn nice he is.

Comic book fans like myself know that Cap has been worthy for sometime, thanks to his humility and reluctance to rush into violence. While Steve doesn't mind punching the occasional Hydra agent, it's his longing for peace and doing the right thing that makes him worthy of Thor's power. Here is hoping that Cap gets to wield Mjolnir during Marvel's Avengers video game.

Avengers: Endgame is now available on Blu-ray and digital outlets.
