What Will Bungou Stray Dogs Season 5 Be About?
Bungou Stray Dogs Season 5, which is coming out on Crunchyroll as part of the Summer 2023 anime season, is going to pick up right where the previous season left off.
Season 4 finished adapting the Hunting Dogs arc while also touching upon the Sky Casino arc. As such, Bungou Stray Dogs Season 5 will finish adapting the Sky Casino arc.
Depending on its pacing, the anime might then move to the Kamui Revelation arc from the Bungou Stray Dogs manga.
In it, Atsushi finds out that the page the group is looking for is held by Kamui, the leader of the Decay of the Angel.
Meanwhile, Ranpo Edogawa works to clear the Armed Detective Agency's name.
If there is enough space for that, Season 5 might also touch on the most recent Vampire Infection Outbreak arc, wherein Decay of the Angel's plan to control humanity by turning people into vampires gradually unfolds.
Based on the trailers we've seen so far, we expect the continuation of the shounen anime series to be full of action and excitement.
Here's the Episode Count for Bungou Stray Dogs Season 5
According to the MyAnimeList entry for the anime, Bungou Stray Dogs Season 5 will have a total of 11 episodes.
The anime series has always opted for shorter seasons in the 11-13-episode range aka the duration of a single season.
Together with Season 4, which had 13 episodes, the collective Season 4 and Season 5 episode count is 24, a typical number for a two-cour anime.
While marketed as a new season, Bungou Stray Dogs Season 5 is, in fact, the second cour of Season 4.

Can We Expect More Bungou Stray Dogs Episodes in the Future?
Currently, there are no concrete plans for more Bungou Stray Dogs content in the immediate future. That being said, a sequel is quite likely.
Many anime don't go further than one or two seasons despite their manga source material being ongoing.
But Bungou Stray Dogs is a really unique and imaginative story, and the Vampire arc is fertile ground for another season.
Having come this far, we wouldn't be surprised if the entire story was adapted for the screen one day when the manga is complete.
