Season 2 may not have been announced yet, but Bocchi the Rock! fans continue to be treated to special collabs and promos. The latest is a new magazine cover that features the Bocchi the Rock! cast members as they recreate the iconic Kessoku Band photo in real life.

The cover of the next Seiyuu Grand Prix magazine issue was revealed recently, and it features the four lead voice actresses of Bocchi the Rock!

Aside from recreating the band photo from Episode 4 in Shimokitazawa, this new cover shows just how close the four VAs have become.

To promote the show, the show’s cast members have appeared in various promotional events for the anime.

Aside from stage events, the four VAs also appeared in the ongoing Bocchi the Radio! show.

Interestingly, three out of the four actresses have worked together before. Specifically, Ikumi Hasegawa (Kita) and Sayumi Suzushiro (Nijika) voiced Lena and Kurena, respectively, in 86.

Yoshino Aoyama (Hitori) also played a role in 86, albeit as a background character. Meanwhile, Saku Mizuno (Ryo) is a relative newcomer, having only acted in two shows before Bocchi.

Essentially, the four have only worked together closely in Bocchi the Rock! And from the looks of it, the members have become quite close with each other.

Aside from appearing in events together, the VAs have also spent time with each other outside work as shown on social media.

They even recreated scenes from the anime on their own while visiting Shimokitazawa.

It seems that the cast returned to Shimokitazawa recently for an official photoshoot.

Specifically, the new Seiyuu Grand Prix magazine issue features a photoshoot of the four that is set all over the trendy Tokyo neighborhood.

Perhaps the most eye-catching photo is the magazine’s cover which is a recreation of the iconic Kessoku Band photo that Hitori creepily displays all over her room.

The photo might not be a jump shot, but it’s still set on the same wall used in the anime.

They’re also posing where their respective characters stand, not to mention that their clothes are colored to match their characters.

There are lots of other photos from the shoot which were shared by the magazine on Twitter. Check them out here:

The Seiyuu Grand Prix magazine’s next issue will be released in Japan on April 10, 2023.

As the magazine isn’t officially available outside Japan, you may want to ask a friend to get one for you if you’re a huge Bocchi fan.
