There’s no official word yet on a Blue Box anime, though several anime and manga insiders shared on X (formerly Twitter) that CloverWorks was tapped to animate it.
These details are said to be based on leaks from a regional publisher.
Blue Box Anime Rumored to Get Official Reveal at Jump Festa 2024
Weekly Shonen Jump is best known for its action-leaning titles like Jujutsu Kaisen and One Piece. Over the years though, Jump has also produced lots of popular rom-com manga like Nisekoi and We Never Learn.
Blue Box is another romance manga that enjoys a large and dedicated fanbase. Calling it another high school rom-com is a bit unfair though as it also has sports manga elements.
It may not be Jump’s top seller, but fans have long believed that it will get animated soon. Recently, there has been a lot of talk about a potential anime announcement at Shueisha’s Jump Festa 2024 event.
Happening this December, Jump Festa 2024 will host various stage events for Shueisha’s roster of titles. Among the manga with stage events is Blue Box.
Because of this, many fans believe that the long-awaited anime adaptation will finally be revealed there. After all, many new Jump anime are revealed during the annual Jump Festa.
This isn’t the only manga that fans are hoping to see animated. Many also believe that a Dandadan anime will be revealed at the event.

CloverWorks Reportedly Working on Blue Box Anime
It’s still around two months before Jump Festa, but there have already been reports of the Blue Box anime.
Specifically, details were reportedly leaked about CloverWorks being the studio in charge of the show.
CloverWorks being the studio chosen makes sense. That’s because the studio has several romance anime under its belt, including popular titles like My Dress-Up Darling and Horimiya.
Even with there being several reports, you’ll want to take these with a grain of salt. After all, there’s always a chance that leaks like these are fake.
For an official announcement, fans may need to wait for Jump Festa 2024, which is happening from December 16 to 17, 2023.
