One of Netflix's best hits is the Kdrama called Bloodhounds. If you're looking for an action-packed thriller, this is a show that you need to watch. More importantly, Bloodhounds cast has a pool of talented actors. Here's who is part of this series.
Woo Do-hwan as Kim Geon-woo
Woo Do-hwan plays an ex-Marine who finds a start in the world of boxing. Despite his nature of work, Geon-woo is a kind-hearted and sincere man.
His skills in boxing don't go unnoticed. His earnings from his boxing matches or part-time gigs all go towards his mother, who is struggling to keep up with the effects of the COVID pandemic.
Unfortunately, his mom decides to take out a loan from what she believes was a COVID relief fund. But as it turns out, this was an impossible contract with a predatory loan shark.
This puts Geon-woo's boxing dreams on hold as he tries to help his mother from the sadistic monster.
You may recognize Do-hwan from his other dramas The King: Eternal Monarch, Tempted, Save Me, and My Country: The New Age.
He was also in Mad Dog and The Divine Fury, two roles that bagged him the Best New Actor award at the Golden Cinema Festival.
Lee Sang-yi as Hong Woo-jin
Like Geon-woo, Hong Woo-jin (played by Lee Sang-yi) is a former Marine. But he is older than Geon-woo, a fact that hurts his ego when Geon-woo beats him at a boxing match. Not to mention, Geon-woo is a rookie at boxing.
Still, the two become friends as they discover their similarities. They also want to stand up against the loan shark.
Sang-yi is famous for his roles in Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha and When the Camellia Blooms. He also appeared in a few episodes of Crash Course in Romance.
He is also a member of MSG Wannabe, a Korean supergroup.
Huh Joon-ho as Choi Tae-ho
Choi Tae-ho (played by Huh Joon-ho) is different from all the other money lenders. In fact, the term "loan shark" does not apply to him since is not a predator to the people who owe him money.
He provides loans to people with no interest, especially if they need it for medical treatment. After all, he is also paralyzed from the waist down.
To help keep his foster daughter safe, Tae-ho recruits both Gun-woo and Woo-jin as her bodyguards.
Joon-ho is no stranger to the spotlight. He has a long list of films and TV shows, which include Missing: The Other Side.
Park Sung-woong as Kim Myeong-gil
Kim Myeong-gil (played by Park Sung-woong) is the CEO of Smile Capital. He is a notorious loan shark who illegally operates his business and is not scared of the law.
His business found its success after Tae-ho encountered an injury. His real dream, however, is to own a casino someday.
Sung-woong stars in a number of Kdramas, such as Unlock My Boss and The Killing Vote.
Choi Si-won as Hong Min-beom
Choi Si-won guests in Bloodhounds as Hong Min-beom, a chaebol who dreams of owning a hotel. Unfortunately, the pandemic has affected his dreams too. But Myeong-gil promises to provide financial backing to him.
Siwon is famous for being part of Super Junior. Apart from the Kpop group, he has starred in shows like Revolutionary Love and Work Later, Drink Now.
