BLACKPINK's Lisa Receives Nomination at Premio Lo Nuestro Awards


BLACKPINK Lisa has been nominated at the 2023 Premio Lo Nuestro Awards amid rumors she received a whopping offer to change her label and leave YG Entertainment.

Lisa’s solo career flourished even more when she was tapped to join Megan Thee Stallion, DJ Snake and Ozuna in the collab single SG. The single was released on Oct. 22. The four singers promoted their music on their respective social media accounts, hyping fans.

The collaboration was a long time coming, as Ozuna hinted at the collaboration already during the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards.

Months after the project, Lisa and the three musicians secured a nomination.

BLACKPINK Lisa Scores Premio Lo Nuestro Nomination

The official social media pages of Premio Lo Nuestro (Lo Nuestro Awards) unveiled its list of nominees Monday. The artists will be recognized during its upcoming 25th annual show.

The longest-running Latin music ceremony is Spanish-language awards show that honors the best Latin music of the year. Spanish-language U.S. TV network Univision presents the awards.

For its upcoming event, the award-giving body collected data and assessed streaming counts and Uforia radio airplay from October 2021 to September 2022.

BLACKPINK’s Lisa has been nominated for Crossover Collaboration of the Year for her work in SG. It is currently competing against Rosalia and The Weeknd’s La Fama; Ruvssian, Chris Brown and Rauw Alejandro’s Nostalgico; J Balvin and Ed Sheeran’s Sigue; and Justin Timberlake and Romeo Santos’ Sin Fin.

Voting will be open until Feb. 5. The 2023 Lo Nuestro Awards will take place on Feb. 23, 7 p.m. local time, at the Miami-Dade (FTX) Arena.

BLACKPINK Lisa Receives Multi-million Offer to Leave YG?

Lisa scored the nominations amid the talks that she reportedly received 100 million KRW to switch labels.

NH Investment & Securities reported on Jan. 19 that BLACKPINK members would renew their contracts with YG Entertainment. But Munhwa Ilbo (via Naver) published a report on Jan. 23 insisting that YG Entertainment would struggle in making them sign because the members received higher guarantees from other companies.

BLACKPINK and Lisa herself have not responded to the rumors yet.
