Early reactions and reviews on Black Widow are out and the film is going off a strong start as it received positive reception on Rotten Tomatoes with nothing but praises to everyone behind the movie. It has followed the format and it seems that good old tricks are still effective when it comes to superhero flicks because clearly, it worked for this one!

Black Widow got an initial 71 reviews and it already holds a whopping 86% score on Rotten Tomatoes averaging a 7.2 out of 10 in critic's rating. Most notable of all the performances, though, was surprisingly not the main character of the film but the scene-stealer is Florence Pugh who will be taking on the baton of being the next Black Widow as Yelena Belova.

Originally, Black Widow was supposed to be released what seems like ages ago already but the pandemic has hit the industry hard that it has been pushed back for more than a year. While Marvel will continue with the theatrical release of the film, it will be out simultaneously on Disney Plus Premier Access for $30 on top of the monthly or annual subscription rate.

The film is set to be the farewell of Natasha Romanoff's Black Widow and it will be focusing on the events after Civil War where the Avengers broke up and she is on the run. She returns home, to where it all started, tracing where the red on her ledger bled, and she will be teaming up with other Black Widows, Yelena Belova and Melina Vostokoff, together with the Red Guardian, in facing the Taskmaster.

Black Widow will be released in both theaters and on Disney Plus Premier Access on July 9, 2021.
