Black Lightning Confirmed in The CW's Crisis on Infinite Earths

Black Lightning is one of the more unique CW DC shows since the series is not in the same universe as Arrow, Flash, Supergirl, or even the upcoming Batwoman. This was done so that the show could stay grounded, despite several of the characters having superpowers. Finally, after years of fans asking, we are going to see the characters in this series interact with heroes like Green Arrow and Flash in Crisis on Infinite Earths.

While the show itself won't have any episodes about the event, The CW has confirmed that the lightning-wielding hero will be a part of this special crossover.

Apparently, multiple characters from the show will be making an appearance to stop this huge threat, which doesn't just affect one Earth but, well, Infinite Earths. Why the show itself won't be taking a part in this crossover is a bit odd, though that appears to be done so that it can remain grounded and easy to follow for those that can't keep up with all these superhero shows.

Fans have wanted Black Lightning to be a part of the Arrowverse since it was announced. The show has impressed fans with its likable characters and some of the relatable problems they tackle, making it a more humane alternative to the cheesier Arrowverse shows like The Flash and Supergirl. Nothing against those shows though since they do what they do well.

Crisis on Infinite Earths will be coming out this December. Black Lightning season 3 will premiere on October 7.
