Black Adam: Dwayne Johnson Explains How Superman's Cameo Happened

It is no secret prior to the release of Black Adam that Dwayne Johnson wants to bring back Henry Cavill's Superman for a potential showdown with him in a future project. Leading up to the release, we eventually heard a confirmation that the Man of Steel indeed showed up for a cameo during the film's post-credits scene.

Some fans are wondering about how Johnson and his team were able to pull off Cavill's cameo appearance after a few years of absence in the franchise. In a recent interview with Collider, the actor revealed the details about how they managed to bring back the actor to show up in the post-credits scene.

First, Johnson explained how he and his team have been friends with Cavill for years since his business partner Dany Garcia is also the Superman actor's manager. He also talked about how he worked hard on bringing back the actor in order to give the fans what they wanted.

"It got to a point where collectively, I want to say myself, Dany and Hiram [Garcia], we said, 'Here's how the movie should end. And I'll give you one further, test it, and if it doesn't work, we'll never talk about it again. Test it.' We shot it, to their credit, new leadership. They saw it and said, 'We don't even have to test it,'" the actor said.

As Johnson mentioned, the credit also goes to the new leadership under Warner Bros. Discovery for making the cameo appearance happen since they approved it to be included in the film.

A lot of DCEU fans are currently hyped for the appearance of Cavill's Superman in the film since it is an indication that he will have a presence again in the franchise which is supported by a recent report that revealed that Warner Bros. is developing a sequel to Man of Steel with him reprising the role.

It is interesting to see what exact plans they have in store for Cavill's much-awaited comeback in the DCEU and whether they are actually going to do a showdown between the two characters.
