Billie Eilish has successfully established a flouring career in the music scene. Thanks to her hit song “Ocean Eyes,” she catapulted into stardom, making her one of the highest-paid musicians of today.
With that said, how much fortune has she made since she started in the business in the mid-2010s? With less than a decade of career, here’s how Billie Eilish made it big.
Billie Eilish: Starting a Huge Career at a Young Age
The 20-year-old star got her talents from her musician parents. She and her brother, Finneas, were exposed to music at a young age, thanks to their parents’ encouragement to explore the creative arts.
She wrote her first song at 11 and started writing and producing music with Finneas at 13 on SoundCloud. In 2015, she eventually released the song “Ocean Eyes,” produced by her brother himself.
Being listened to hundreds of thousands of times, it ended up having a deal with Apple Music in 2016. Billie Eilish was only 15 at the time.
They then released “Six Feet Under” on SoundCloud and from there, she signed a deal with Interscope Records. She continuously dropped new music with Finneas’ help, earning more fans and followers.
Come August 2017, she dropped her first full-length album, Don’t Smile at Me. She started her first tour after performing at the South by Southwest music festival in the same year.
Spotify further launched her music career by featuring her music on its playlists. Apple Music, too, named her the “Up Next” artist.
In 2018, she began her second headlining tour, Where’s My Mind Tour, and signed a contract with Next Management for fashion and beauty campaigns.
She released her debut album, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?, in 2019 and began her tour at the 2019 Coachella Festival.
