Beverly Hills Cop 4 Teaser Trailer Reveals Eddie Murphy's Return as Axel Foley

Next year, the highly-anticipated sequel Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F is set to arrive on Netflix which will bring back Eddie Murphy in his iconic role of Axel Foley for another action-packed mission in Beverly Hills, California.

Given that the original Beverly Hills Cop and its sequel are '80s classics that have endured amongst movie fans for decades now, there's a lot of hope that the fourth film will be satisfying and won't be as bad as the maligned third movie.

Murphy had been trying to make the fourth film happen for several years until Netflix came to the scene and finally moved forward to production last year.

Now, we finally have our first preview of the long-gestated movie.

Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F Releases Teaser Trailer

Netflix has released the teaser trailer for Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F which gave us our very first look at Murphy's return as Axel Foley and his new adventure at Beverly Hills.

While the preview didn't give us an idea about what the story will be and why Axel is involved in another mission in Beverly Hills, it did show us a glimpse of the many action sequences that the character will be involved in.

It also gave us our first look at the return of the supporting cast members from the original films such as Judge Reinhold, Paul Reiser, Bronson Pinchot, and John Ashton, and franchise newcomers Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Kevin Bacon, and Taylour Paige.

As expected, the iconic "Axel F" theme was also played which would give fans a lot of nostalgic feel for the original films since it is one of the '80s themes that have endured for many years.

The footage that they showed here has some promise as it looks like it will be as action-packed as the original films and Murphy was able to return to the role smoothly.

Hopefully, it will be a satisfying legacy sequel and it won't have the same quality as Coming 2 America, which was considered to be a disappointment for fans of the original.

Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F is slated to release on Netflix in summer 2024.
