DJ was one of the more interesting characters in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, with many people enjoying how Benicio Del Toro portrayed him. Most characters in the series are aligned to either good or bad, so having someone morally grey was refreshing and there's still a lot to do with him should Disney or Lucasfilm choose to do so.
The Sicario actor seems to agree since he was asked about possibly returning to Star Wars by Variety. Apparently, his return isn't set in stone yet but he would like to return, should the opportunity present itself. Here's hoping we get more of Del Toro's DJ, simply because watching the actor portraying him is fun.
Not a straight-up hero or villain, DJ is someone who simply profits from the winning side. He showed Finn that The Resistance isn't so innocent either, though he didn't really get his point across after he betrayed him. Should he return, expect Finn and Rose to get their revenge on him somehow unless they have DJ redeem himself.
