Bee is one of the cleaning ladies in the series. She is close to Blair Hartman (played by Kathryn Wilder), who is abused by her ex-boyfriend.

We first meet Bee and Blair in a flashback scene. Bee helps protect Blair from her abusive partner, Ace (played by Aron Már Ólafsson), who harasses her at her workplace, the Blue King Crab processing factory.

Not one to stand down, Bee hits Ace with a metal bucket, which knocks him out.

Soon enough, Chief Liz Danvers (played by Jodie Foster) arrives at the scene to investigate. When they are off the hook, Blair moves in with Bee.

The crab factory theory in True Detective first stemmed from those flashback scenes. In a blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment, Blair is seen with missing fingers.

It is said to have been caused by a workplace accident from years ago. But as discovered in the corpsicle, there is a handprint that appears to miss the same set of fingers.

This discovery quickly led viewers to guess that the cleaning ladies had something to do with the deaths of the Tsalal researchers.

True enough in the finale, we learned that the crab factory theory had some truth to it.

Although it was Bee who led the native women to take revenge for Annie Kowtok's (played by Nivi Pedersen) murder, the researchers did not die in the flash-freezing process that people guessed.

Instead, the women arrived at the facility and held the researchers at gunpoint. They ordered them to strip and keep walking until they froze to death.
