BB-8 Wraps Filming On Star Wars Episode IX With Awesome Photos

It's a wrap for the galaxy's cutest little android. BB-8 has finished filming Star Wars: Episode IX in some truly awesome photos.

Brian Herring celebrated the wrap on his official Twitter account. Herring is the puppeteer behind BB-8 and he decided to share some amazing throwback photos from Star Wars: The Force Awakens as well as Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Take a look at the post below.

"Today was a wrap on BB-8. The last 5 years have been an amazing ride. Thanks to @jjabrams, Kathleen, Neal, #teamBB8 especially Dave and the entire cast & crew for the time of my life. Few people get to live the dream. Thank you," Herring wrote, adding the hashtags #StarWars, #IX, #BB8, and #StarWarsEpisodeIX.

The images show BB-8's memorable stroll with Rey on the planet Jakku in The Force Awakens as well as some behind-the-scenes look at The Last Jedi. Needless to say, we are also glad to have enjoyed an adventure with the little droid.

BB-8 isn't the only droid who has already wrapped filming on Episode IX. Anthony Daniels had previously confirmed C-3PO's last day working as C-3PO in a heartbreaking Twitter post.

"Today was 3PO's last on Episode IX. He's sad - so am I. But we're so proud to have worked with such a lovely, talented cast & crew lead by J.J. & Kathy. I'll miss everyone but I'm glad to know that we've been making something exceptional together, to share with the waiting world," Daniels wrote.

Interestingly, the film's official title has not yet been revealed although most of the stars have already finished work on the movie.

Star Wars: Episode IX will premiere on December 20.
