The first part of Bastard!! Heavy Metal, Dark Fantasy ended with a major cliffhanger in the middle of the battle between Dark Schneider and Arshes Nei. With 13 episodes already released, we eagerly await the Bastard anime's season 2 release date!
Bastard has been the hot new show since its 13-episode Netflix release. Despite a few controversies here and there, the anime managed to exceed expectations from classic anime fans.
Bastard Part 1 earned a solid 7.1 rating from IMDB and a 7.03 from MAL, earning a positive reputation in the anime community.

Bastard Anime Part 1 Recap
Bastard Part 1 begins with the attack of the Dark Rebel Army on the Kingdom of Metallicana. After being forced to retreat to the kingdom's interior, Princess Sheila remembered Yoko's ultimate spell, which would save them from certain death.
Despite her reservations, Yoko cast the spell taught to him by his father to reawaken the Dark Wizard. She kissed the 14-year-old sheltered boy, Lucien Renlen, whose body had been home to Dark Schneider after the dark wizard had been defeated by Prince Lars.
Dark Schneider has been inside Lucien for nearly 15 years, waiting for a kiss from a virgin woman to reawaken him. When all else fails, Dark Schneider appears in front of everyone only to act evil, narcissistic, and mighty.
Because Lucien and Dark Schneider are two halves of the same soul, whoever Lucien loves will also be loved by Dark Schneider. As a result, he assisted the Metallicana Kingdom in defending against the dark rebel army forces to satisfy Yoko.
Yoko stopped Dark Schneider in his tracks as he was about to flee the kingdom. The stupid Dark Schneider kissed Yoko only to return to Lucien again. With this, Yoko devised a very effective method of holding him at bay.
Gara, the Master Ninja of the Dark Rebel Army, visited the Metallicana Kingdom after learning of Dark Schneider's awakening. He kidnapped Yoko and provoked the evil wizard.
As a favor to Princess Sheila, this event prompted an all-out assault on Gara's hideout. While Yoko was away, Princess Sheila kissed Lucien in order for Dark Schneider to assist them in retrieving Yoko.
Meanwhile, Yoko was chained and humiliated in Gara's hideout by the ninja master's pet slime.
Dark Schneider and Princess Sheila join forces to defeat the dangers of Gara's labyrinth in order to reclaim Yoko. Dark Schneider not only mastered the fire sword Efreet, but he also defeated Gara's majinken sword.
When Princess Sheila returned to the kingdom, she realized she had feelings for Dark Schneider. She believes, however, that Dark Schneider is only interested in Yoko.
As the dark rebel army sent more threats to the Metallicana Kingdom, Dark Schneider set out on a journey to fight the three sorcerer generals of Arshes Nei.
Dark Schneider defeated them effortlessly with his wits and guts. He not only defeated them but also forced them to switch sides. This infuriated Arshes Nei, who traveled all the way to the kingdom to confront the treacherous Gara and Dark Schneider.
While Gara has been defeated, Arshes Nei is still struggling with his adoptive father and former lover, Dark Schneider.
In line with this, Abigail, one of the four divine kings, cast an accusatory spell on Arshes Nei in order to prevent her from betraying the army.
If Arshes Nei betrays the army, she will be transformed into a toad as a result of the spell.
Before Bastard Part 1 ends, Dark Schneider discovered the truth about Arshes Nei's situation, prompting him to extract his heart from his body in order to free Arshes from the curse.
Bastard Anime Season 2 Release Date
Bastard!! Heavy Metal, Dark Fantasy Season 2, or Part 2, is set to be released on September 15, 2022, worldwide.
It will return on Netflix with episodes 14 to 24, completing the first season.

Bastard Part 2 will be available exclusively on Netflix with English subtitles.
As of this writing, all episodes of Bastard!! Heavy Metal, Dark Fantasy Part 1 are available for streaming on Netflix worldwide.
What to Expect in Bastard Part 2
Bastard Part 2 will include episodes 14 through 24 of the anime.
The story will continue following the battle between Arshes Nei and Dark Schneider.
Furthermore, more information will be revealed about the other two divine kings: Abigail, the ruthless sorcerer, and Kall-Su, the ice-cold sorcerer.
Many questions will be answered in Bastard Part 2, including whether Anthrasax will be awakened and what will happen to Dark Schneider.
