NoHo Hank (played by Anthony Carrigan) attempts to take down Barry by partnering with Fuches (played by Stephen Root). Even though the two have some issues, they're willing to put that aside for their common enemy, Barry.

Unfortunately, things don't go as planned as the history between the two start coming up. Fuches tries to force Hank to admit that he was behind the death of Cristobal (played by Michael Irby).

Hank finally admits to this but also calls off the deal with Fuches. This is followed by a shootout between the two camps, which lasts for just a short bit. Everyone, except for Fuches, ends up on the ground.

As Barry prepares to go into battle, he races across town carrying a lot of weapons and ammunition with him. He arrives at Hank's lair and finds his son, John (played by Zachary Golinger) waiting for him. It turns out that Fuches brought John to him before disappearing.

Sally (played by Sarah Goldberg) gets reunited with Barry too, who tells her about Gene Cousineau's (played by Henry Winkler) arrest for the accusations of murdering Janice Moss (played by Paula Newsome).

Sally tries to convince Barry to turn himself in but he declines. Since Barry is decided to fight his enemies that night, Sally takes John and leaves.

Another character that gets killed in the finale is, surprise, Barry.

As he heads over to Gene's house to look for Sally and John, Gene shoots him straight in the chest. This earns a slightly astonished, "Oh, wow." reaction from Barry. Gene then walks over to him and shoots him in the head.

Unfortunately, Barry's fate was the only thing that could have helped Gene escape prison since he already planned to turn himself in after talking to Gene. But after killing Barry in a hurry, Gene has no other way to prove his innocence.

So how does Barry, the TV show, end? With a time jump.

In the time jump, we see John as a high schooler who is now played by Jaeden Martell). Sally no longer needs to use an alias and is working as a theater teacher.

The ending also shows John watching a film called The Mask Collector, which Sally prohibited him from watching before. The movie shows the story between Barry, Sally, and Gene. Only this time, the facts are twisted.

Instead of being the villain, Barry is portrayed as an innocent man. Meanwhile, Gene is presented in the film as a conniving, British murderer.

Even though Sally told John that his father was a murderer, the movie could change his mind. After all, he was still a young boy when Sally admitted this to him.

Could he follow his father's footsteps when he grows up? We'll know if a spin-off show dedicated to his character gets created in the future.
