Choi Pro (played by Kim Ji-hoon) is the antagonist in the South Korean film, Ballerina. He is a cold-blooded gangster known for his good looks and for hustling.

Even though he can get any girl he wants, he says that he likes a good challenge. He believes easy girls are boring.

Whenever he spots someone he likes at a bar, he takes her to a shady hotel on the other side of town. The owner of the hotel has an understanding with Choi Pro since he already knows what his business is.

Once he gets the girl to go in the room, he drugs them through their beverage. As he gets rid of the evidence, he rummages through his selection of masks, cuffs, and whips.

He then comes out of the room with a mask on his face before proceeding to rape his unconscious victim. He also films them and makes markings on the USB drive with the girl's profession.

When he's not out meeting girls, he's running errands for his gangster boss who runs a drug den. They manufacture their own products in an underground laboratory that masquerades as a horse stable.

Min-hee (played by Park Yu-rim) was not killed by Choi Pro. In fact, he doesn't realize she is dead until after Ok-ju (played by Jeon Jong-seo) captures him.

Min-hee decides to end her life by slashing her wrists in her own bathtub. Before doing this, she rings up her old friend, Ok-ju, and invites her to come over.

When Ok-ju arrives at her apartment, she finds a box with a pair of pointe shoes inside. There is also a note for Ok-ju, which doesn't reveal much except Min-hee's final request for revenge. Min-hee also leaves behind Choi Pro's Instagram handle.

So why did Min-hee kill herself? She was one of Choi Pro's rape victims who he was blackmailing. When Min-hee dies, Ok-ju takes hold of her phone. Choi Pro calls her and threatens to tell all her family and friends about her secret identity if she doesn't meet up with her.

This shows that he was never aware Min-hee already killed herself. It also gives Ok-ju a chance to trail him and uncover who he is.

After learning the reason behind Min-hee's death, Ok-ju vows to kill Choi Pro. She manages to bug his car and phone, which lets her know where Choi Pro frequents to meet girls.

Ok-ju dresses up and manages to catch Choi Pro's eye. True enough, he brings her to the hotel and drugs her. However, he doesn't realize that Ok-ju was never unconscious.

With a knife in her hand, she proceeds to attack Choi Pro. When she finally manages to trap him, the hotel receptionist comes in with a gun.

Ok-ju manages to leave the room but finds that another goon is heading towards her with a chainsaw. As he nears, a door opens and causes this guy to drop the chainsaw and amputate him.

It is later revealed that the girl who helped Ok-ju escape is a high school student (played by Shin Se-hwi). She is one of Choi Pro's victims who he has grown fond of. Instead of letting her return to normal, he keeps her in the hotel so he can return to her anytime he likes.

Unfortunately for him, the student does not feel the same way. She is relieved when Ok-ju shows up since she has been praying for someone to save her.

Ok-ju shared a very special bond with Min-hee. Although they were already friends when they were young, the two lost touch over the years. So it was a complete shock when they accidentally met at a cake store where Min-hee worked.

The two start hanging out once again and rekindle their friendship. Ok-ju reveals to Min-hee that before they met, she felt like her life was meaningless. Min-hee added color to her mundane life as a bodyguard.

Because of this bond, it was very natural for Ok-ju to decide to help her friend; even if that meant going to hell for her in the end.
