It has been well over a year since the first season’s release, and finally, Baki Hanma Season 2 has a new trailer that revealed its release date and shows new footage.
Anime studio TMS Entertainment released the trailer on its official YouTube channel, and it gives fans a taste of the explosive action that the next season will bring.
Along with new footage, the trailer also previews the anime’s new opening song, and it highlights the show’s voice cast.
New Trailer for Baki Hanma Season 2 Revealed, Featuring Opening Song
Baki the Grappler is a long-running action manga that has inspired several anime adaptations over the years.
The most recent, and arguably, the most popular one is Netflix’s Baki, which began back in 2018.
After two seasons, Baki was followed up with Baki Hanma, which serves as a sequel to the 2018 anime. The first season of Baki Hanma was released in September 2021.
Finally, after a fairly long wait, Season 2 is about to release soon, and you can watch the new trailer here:
Aside from the series’ signature ridiculous action sequences, the trailer also previews the new opening song The Beast by Wagakki Band.
Wagakki Band has performed several anime songs over the years, but the band is best known for their cover of the vocaloid song Senbonzakura.
Also previewed in the trailer is the ending song WILDER by Upstart. Though the full versions of the songs have yet to be released.

Baki Hanma Season 2 Cast, Release Date
The voice cast of Baki Hanma Season 1 is confirmed to return in the second season. They will be joined by the Season 1 staff members from TMS Entertainment.
Though there are new members of the voice cast, including Takeshi Kusao (Trunks in Dragon Ball, Sakuragi in Slam Dunk) who will voice Pickle.
Also joining the cast is Nobuo Tobita (Kodama no Genichiro in In/Spectre) as Dr. Albert Payne.
As with most Netflix anime releases, the second season will be released in one go. Though, unlike the first season, the second season will be split into two.
The first half will cover the Tale of Pickle & The Pickle War Saga while the second half will continue with The Father VS Son Saga.
Baki Hanma Season 2 will be released on July 26 with its first half. Meanwhile, the second half will be released on August 24.
The series will be available worldwide on Netflix.
