Who Is Ichika in the Classroom of the Elite 2nd Year Arc?
Anime-only fans won’t be familiar with Ichika Amasawa as she has not yet appeared in the Classroom of the Elite anime. That’s because she only makes her series debut in the 2nd Year arc.
Ichika is one of the new students at the Advanced Nurturing High School during the 2nd Year arc. She was assigned to Class 1-A, meaning Ayanokoji is her upperclassman.
Upon her debut, Ichika made a big impression thanks to her playful way of speaking coupled with her mischievous personality. She’s even described by Kikyo Kushida as smug and rotten.
Ichika Amasawa’s Origins Explained
Many characters in the series have compelling backstories, and Ichika is no different. In fact, her origins are linked closely to Ayanokoji as she was also raised in the White Room.
Unlike Kiyotaka Ayanokoji though, she is part of the fifth generation instead of the fourth. This means she was raised at the same time as Takuya Yagami, another key player in the 2nd Year arc.
Much like Yagami, Ichika is tasked with getting Ayanokoji expelled, though she has her own plans.
Ichika and Ayanokoji: Their Relationship in Classroom of the Elite Explored
Ichika and Ayanokoji have an interesting relationship in Classroom of the Elite. Unlike Yagami, Ichika wants to support Ayanokoji as she considers him to be the perfect partner.
Unlike other girls who also have feelings for Ayanokoji, Ichika goes a step further as she’s seriously obsessed with him and puts him on a pedestal above all others. She also aims to help Ayanokoji from afar.
This is likely in part because of her being raised in the White Room. After all, Ichika believes that she’s the only one who can fully understand Ayanokoji given their shared origins.
Thus, it’ll be interesting to see how their relationship will progress. That’s because, while Ichika wants to support Ayanokoji, he is wary of her given her White Room origins.
