Blunders aren't uncommon in movies and television and even one of Hollywood's biggest franchises, the Marvel Cinematic Universe isn't immune to occasional errors. However, some of these mistakes weren't noticed by viewers the first time around.

In fact, the MCU has featured several errors in the past that all made it to the films without any of us noticing. This happened to be the case with Robert Downey Jr. in Avengers: Infinity War.

Over five years after the release of the MCU blockbuster, some fans are just discovering that the film featured an error featuring Tony Stark aka Iron Man.

A Reddit post recently went viral that points out a major mistake seen during one of Infinity War's most tense moments. When Iron Man and Thanos come face-to-face for the first time, the ever-so-cocky Avenger quips: "You throw another moon at me, and I’m gonna lose it."

This is then followed by a shot of Stark's face inside the Iron Man helmet. The next time it focuses on him, the way his facial hair looks is noticeably different compared to the shot that came before it. And it all happened within a matter of seconds. Check it out here:

The mistake has been pointed out by fans previously but it's once again gaining widespread attention online. It only goes to show that not everyone was able to catch it the first time they saw the flick. It's nothing serious, really but it's quite funny that the studio somehow let it slip.

Meanwhile, RDJ is reportedly reprising his Iron Man role for Avengers: Secret Wars with his co-stars Scarlett Johansson and Chris Evans all rumored to return. While nothing official has been set in stone, it would be intriguing to see how Marvel pulls this one off, especially after how their respective MCU journeys ended.

Avengers: Infinity War is available to stream on Disney+.
