Avengers: Infinity War Director Thinks The Fantastic Four Just Needs “The Correct Story”


There's a lot of excitement over Disney's acquisition of 20th Century Fox and its various assets. Not only does the merger mean themeparks for the X-Men, it also means that the mutants under Fox can finally step into the Marvel Cinematic universe.

Avengers: Infinity War director Joe Russo especially believes in the potential of the Fantastic Four. Speaking with Josh Horowitz on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, the Russo brother expressed is faith in the Fantastic Four, saying the characters are still pretty valuable as a cinematic property despite the failings of their films.

"I think we all agree that the Fantastic Four need the correct story told," Russo said during the interview.

According to Joe, the Fantastic Four are characters that are personally important to him, the Thing being one of his favorites.

"Ben Grimm was one of my favorites," he added. "And I think there's a version of that film and that world that still needs to be told."

There certainly is a lot of hope for the Fantastic Four. Fans still keep hoping for a better reboot of the superhero team and now that the Disney/ Fox merger is on the way, fans are hoping the team makes its way to the MCU. Let's just wait and see what happens when the merger's finalized.
