Avengers: Endgame Won a Battle Against Avatar, But Not the War

Marvel fans are in for some good news and a bit of bad news. The good news is that Avengers: Endgame has beaten James Cameron's Avatar in the US and Canada, officially being the second highest-grossing film in those countries, still losing to Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Sadly, Endgame has not beaten Avatar's worldwide box office numbers, though it is pretty darn close. Then again, how sad can you be when a bunch of old white guys will be making billions of dollars?

Avengers: Endgame has currently made $2.62 billion, while Avatar has made $2.78 billion. Since the movie is expected to stay in theaters for a while longer, there is a very good chance that it beats Cameron's classic movie. "Classic" might be too nice for some since most of us are rambling our brains when trying to remember this movie.

While we wait for Endgame to beat Avatar (come on guys), fans have Spider-Man: Far From Home to look forward to this July. This is essentially the epilogue to Endgame and is considered by many, including Kevin Feige, to be the final Phase Three film. We're all still waiting for Phase Four and the films in it, with many of us expecting a Black Widow prequel.

Avengers: Endgame might still be showing in theaters. Are you gonna see it again so that it will dethrone Avatar? Let us know in the comments below.
