Avengers: Endgame Fan Theory Suggests A Younger More Evil Thanos Might Be The Film’s Real Villain

Marvel Studios might be very careful to keep Avengers: Endgame spoilers from leaking out online, but the studio's tactics barely do anything to stop fans from cooking up wild theories on the internet. One of the newest Endgame theories speculates that the real villain of Endgame won't be the Thanos (Josh Brolin) that we've come to learn about in Avengers: Infinity War but instead a more evil version of the Mad Titan from the past.

A lot of Marvel fans head to Reddit to share their Endgame theories with the rest of the Marvel fanbase, and according to a new post by Redditor ak2sup, it's likely that we won't be seeing Infinity War Thanos in Endgame. Instead, the theory suggests that we might actually come across a young Thanos from the 2012 Avengers movie.

Knowing that Captain America (Chris Evans), Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) and the rest of the Avengers might have to travel through time to undo Thanos' snappening, this Marvel fan suggests that Endgame is going to put its focus on the 2012 timeline of the Avengers.

"This is best way to undo the Snap without changing the future, The Heroes (Tony, Antman, Captain Marvel, Nebula, Thor, Rocket, Natasha, Rhodey, not Present Bruce Banner and Steve Rogers because they need both of them from past timeline) will travel to 2012 timeline of New York invasion(as seen in the set photos),all of them will go undercover to hide from their past selves, Tony & Antman will steal the Sceptre/Mind stone (for temporary use) and interrogate Loki to learn more about Thanos and his current whereabouts," the Redditor wrote on his post.

Focusing on the events of The Avengers, it wouldn't come as a surprise that the main villain of the movie would be a younger, fiercer Thanos. Sure, the Mad Titan might not have had the Infinity Stones yet, but a determined Thanos with a double bladed sword and an army could deal a whole lot of damage with a lot of determined ideology.

Of course, there's a major possibility that this new theory won't ever come to pass in Endgame. There are a lot of different ways for Marvel to approach the film.

Avengers: Endgame is set to premiere on April 26, 2019.
